Kara Wall
Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything.
-Leonard Cohen

Kara Wall is a Los Angeles based artist. Her work is figurative surreal, expressing a lifelong fascination with the body and mind and the interplay of the two.
Undergraduate studies in fine arts and psychology blended those passions and kicked off a journey of exploration into the broken and beautiful.
Inner and outer life intertwine in pieces that examine the interplay of power, vulnerability, sensuality and acceptance with the use of vivid color, high contrast and anatomical distortions.
The compositions are a loving challenges to established constructs of beauty and perfection. The odd, the idiosyncratic, the asymmetrical are held in highest regard.
