Kara Wall
Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything.
-Leonard Cohen

Kara Wall is a Los Angeles based artist, who works primarily in oils and graphite. A mix of figurative and surreal, her pieces express an intimate fascination with the interplay of body and mind.
Inner and outer life intertwine in pieces that explore vulnerability, sensuality, power and self-acceptance through anatomical distortions and the use of bold colors and high contrast.
In a challenge to established, constructs of beauty and perfection, the peculiar and the asymmetrical are held in highest regard.
